THE BRAND
When the pandemic hit in 2020, I suddenly had free time again to pursue new hobbies. Simultaneously, I dove into researching the negative impacts the fast fashion industry has on the planet. Frustrated, I sought to find ways to combine art, and my creativity to bring attention to this issue. Through sewing scrunchies, headbands and clothing from upcycled materials, I could spread the word about slow fashion, proving that you can be fashionable without harming the environment. Thus, Sew Brew was born.
However, we believe that no one environmental issue can be tackled in isolation, so we have since expanded into the production of Lionfish accessories to highlight a new way of using lionfish, promoting the demand to cull this invasive species to protect Bermuda's reef biodiversity.

My name is Abby Brewer and I am the founder of Sew Brew. I am currently pursing my Bachelor of Commerce with a dual degree in Environmental Studies. I have always loved art, being creative, the ocean, and environmental activism.
